Be Socially Distant, not gone
Living in the suburbs, it doesn't seem like much is happening. The sun comes up normally, the spring breeze is refreshing and the trees are budding as they always have. The word surreal just doesn't quit sum up the gravity of the situation but it's the only work I can think of for our situation. Thousands are dying daily - thousands of families are suffering. Ten's of thousands of health care workers and other critically required tenders of our support systems are busting their buns for the rest of us, at some risk to their own health - somehow, the word Hero doesn't quit capture the selflessness of these people either.
We trundle on, doing our part - do bring down this enemy of nature. After some struggle for us all to collectively get with the program, it seems the infamous curve is bending in the direction it must if we are all to survive. This will pass and life will be different on the other side, not worse - better.
